So next year is shaping up to be pretty good film wise. This Xmas is VERY quiet which is disappointing :( but 2009 sees some interesting new releases.

Probably #1 on the list has to be X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I've been waiting for this film for a while: mostly because Hugh Jackman plays the character really well. The story seems pretty ok and it fits nicely with the previous trilogy.

The other interesting film is probably Fast And Furious. The original was fantastic (of course!) and as with all things the second lost the spark and the third was just dire (I mean, c'mon how corny COULD they be!).

But this one looks intriguing: the original cast (inc Jordana Brewster who is about the hotest actress on the planet!) are back. It is fully possible for Walker and the ever charismatic Diesel to carry a poor plot - and luckily it looks like that isn't going to be needed. They seem to have gone back to the old TFATF adage of fast cars, guns, sex and violence. Unbeatable mix really!

Next up is the Superbad esque Adventureland. I Realy shouldnt like this at all but it tickled me. Superbad was, I admit, better than I imagined it would be and this is a good development by the same team. Typical story with no real surprises (I think) but pretty watchable for the gags. (plus Kristen Stewart is my kind of women :D)

TheTurkey looks to be Fired Up!. Pure chick flick bollocks - except the trailer actually made me laugh! So perhaps there is some hope (hint: it looks like it has a smattering of intelligent humor - the doctor joke is class): actually Sarah Roemer is a decent actress and could pull it up by the seat of it's shorts.
